Ithaca Upholstery

Reviews

"What a find Ithaca Upholstery was for us. Our 15 year old chairs, that fit perfectly into our home, needed a freshen-up. We got that and more! Poppy helped us to carefully pick out fabrics and listened all the while to our ideas of the feel we wanted. We could not be happier. Pricing for her craftsmanship was in line with the craft she so expertly does. Two chairs to do and they match patterns even when turning the cushions over. Excellent. Ithaca Upholstery and Poppy are a true "gem" for those of us looking to restore and give new life to treasured pieces."  M. Konyk, Moravia, NY

"Poppy Singer designed and created a quality marine canvas for our sports cruiser. She employed the competence and expertise one would expect from a seasoned canvas professional. She listened carefully to what we wanted, designed the canvas, and worked with us to ensure we were completely satisfied in the most courteous and skillful fashion. Her rates were very reasonable. Our boat feels like brand new again thanks to Ms. Singer."
Sincerely, Ciano

"Poppy carefully and skillfully re-upholstered an old family chair of complicated design. She found latex to match the original which was deteriorating and unusable. Very happy to be able to use the chair again and at reasonable cost."

"Poppy is fabulous -- her work is impeccable, her turn-around time is great and her prices are very reasonable. She's done every piece in our living room from recovered sofas and challenging modern chairs to slip covers and pillows. She even figures out how to upholster furniture I design. Don't forget to ask her about her fabric -- beautiful selection available. What a find!"

"Poppy did a great job of reupholstering some 70 year old bar stools that had been in our attic for at least 40 years. She found material swatches to choose from that matched the original naugahyde (now called "faux leather"), stuffed the seats with the original type cotton stuffing, and ran the same piping around the edges. They look terrific."

"Poppy transformed a beloved but too-well-worn chair, with some fresh art nouveau fabric, to a modern, eye-catching family heirloom that will continue in the family for another generation. Her attention to detail and customer service was simply wonderful, and thankfully more affordable than other estimates we'd gotten."
